American Board of Dermatology Focused PI Modules

The American Board of Dermatology is pleased to offer our diplomates free focused Practice Improvement modules to fulfill CCP requirements. These exercises are designed to be impactful on your practice and easy to complete. Our Focused PI Modules are now available right here on ABDerm.org in a new and improved portal

Completing a Focused PI module requires the following:
 Read the activity description to determine if it is a meaningful exercise for your practice.
 Read the recommended references, if desired.
 Perform the initial Practice Assessment chart review.
 If your practice is already in compliance with the goals of the activity, attest to this, and no further review is necessary.
 If your practice is not in compliance, make the necessary changes to your practice and then repeat the Practice Assessment chart review in the time frame described.

A diplomate completing a Practice Improvement (PI) activity will simultaneously obtain SA credit for all chart reviews or other measurement steps performed.

Credit: 25 SA credits, in addition to the PI credit, for every baseline measurement or re-measurement that is performed.

“I read the questions incorrectly the first three times I tried to fill out the patient chart assessment. I think it could be worded differently to not be what I consider a double negative question. Otherwise, it is a useful and important experience.”
