I am doing a fellowship following my dermatology residency. When does continuing certification start for me?

Newly certified diplomates enter continuing certification the year after passing the APPLIED Exam. However, those entering fellowships have the following requirements waived for the calendar year following the APPLIED Exam: earning CME, attesting to a full valid medical license and paying the annual $150 fee. Your continuing certification table will display a "W" for the waived requirements during your fellowship year. Following the fellowship year, you will be required to complete all continuing certification requirements.
