Congratulations on earning subspecialty certification in Micrographic Dermatology Surgery (MDS) by passing the American Board of Dermatology's MDS Exam.
All diplomates earning this credential must participate in the Continuing Certification Program (CCP) to maintain this certification. Participation in continuing certification for MDS is required both for diplomates with time-limited certification AND for diplomates with non-time-limited (lifetime) certification in general dermatology.
Fulfilling the knowledge assessment (exam) component of continuing certification requires enrollment in CertLink, the longitudinal assessment program.
For diplomates with time-limited general dermatology certification, already enrolled in CertLink:
When designing your assessment in January, you will be required to include MDS content. Your assessment will contain 3 core dermatology, 3 surgical dermatology, 3 MDS and 4 article-based questions per quarter.
For diplomates with time-limited general dermatology certification, not yet enrolled in CertLink:
You will be auto-enrolled in CertLink to start the assessment in January. Your assessment will contain 3 core dermatology, 3 surgical dermatology, 3 MDS and 4 article-based questions per quarter.
For diplomates with non-time-limited (lifetime) general dermatology certification, not yet enrolled in CertLink:
You will be auto-enrolled in CertLink to start the assessment in January. Your assessment will contain 3 surgical dermatology, 3 MDS and 4 article-based questions per quarter.
